For a second time in a week, a school board member from the Shelby County R-IV school district has resigned.  According to reports, Jarrell Foreman has resigned.

“I can confirm his resignation, effect August 1,” said Superintendent Tim Maddex.

The Clarence Courier has tried to contact Mr. Foreman for comment, but has been unsuccessful at this point.

According to Maddex, the process to replace the board members will be first to accept the resignations at the next meeting. The board will then advertise for interested parties, interview candidates, and appoint replacements. They will serve until the April election, at which point they can run for re-election if they choose.
