Fenton Found Guilty of Misdemeanor
On Monday, July 13, Shelbina City Marshal Jerry Fenton was found guilty in Macon County Circuit Court of failure to register a motor vehicle.
Judge Kristen Dawn Burks ordered Fenton pay a fine of $50.50 and court costs.
On July 1, Fenton filed a motion to suppress law enforcement’s search of the vehicle. The motion was denied. The Court found the search did not violate Fenton’s 4th amendment rights and was allowed under the exceptions of the warrant requirement.
