Thomas Gill “Tom” Thomas

Tom Gill Thomas, of Hunnewell passed away Dec. 10 at Hannibal Regional Hospital with his family by his side.

Tom was born Dec. 9, 1946 in Hunnewell, the son of Charles and Catherine (Menfee) Thomas. He was united in marriage to Alice Buckman on Feb. 9, 1973 in Kansas City.  She survives.

Tom is also survived by his three daughters, Laura Reams (Darian) of Little Elm, Texas, Kristy Robertson (Gary) of St. Louis and Carrie West (Brandon) of Palmyra; four grandchildren, Madison Reams, Colby Reams, Quinn Robertson, and AraBella West and one godson Jason Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dick Thomas.

Tom was a graduate of Monroe City High School. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, going out to eat, and going on Saturday outings. He loved getting to talk to his daughters on the phone every Saturday. He liked to do yard work to keep his place looking nice. Tom loved spending time with his family and friends, and taking his poodle Queenie on four-wheeler rides.

A visitation was held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina.
