The Shelby County 4-H & FFA Horse Show took place at the Samuel Hawkins Memorial Arena in Shelbina on Wednesday, July 21.
This horse show was open to all 4-H and FFA members across Missouri. Seven counties were represented in the show with a wide range of age and experience. The show was kicked off with Renae Bordeleau and her mare Cricket carrying the American flag during the National Anthem. Following the National Anthem, the judge Travis Hamlin, was ready to begin 2021 Shelby County 4-H and FFA Horse Show. Every competitor worked hard on their accomplishments. Congratulations to the following:
Class 1 Showmanship 14 & Over – First place, Madison Wilt, second place, Renae Bordeleau and third place, Kaelynn Bartels.
Class 2 Showmanship 13 & Under – First place, Avalynn Camden, second place Kinley Timbrook and third place, Lauren Kempker.
Class 3 1st & 2nd Year Showmanship – First place, Elizabeth Meyers, second place, Morgan Wilt and third place, Emma Thornburg.
Class 4 Welch Greenwell Memorial Champion Showmanship – Madison Wilt
Class 5 Hunt Seat Pleasure, all ages – First place, Madison Wilt, second place, Paisley Weldon and third place, Kaelynn Bartels.
Class 6 Hunt Seat Equitation, all ages – First place, Madison Wilt, second place, Paisley Weldon and third place, Kaelynn Bartels.
Class 7 Horsemanship 14 & Over – First place, Madison Wilt, second place, Hannah Damron and third place, Kaelynn Bartels.
Class 8 Horsemanship 13 & Under – First place, Avalynn Camden, sceond place, Kinley Timbrook and third place, Kameron Unger.
