The July meeting of Delta Theta Tau-Omicron Pi met on July 26th at the Bethel Christian Church at 6 pm. Prior to the meeting, refreshments were served by Katie Wiley. Fifteen members answering roll call were Debbie Barrick, Stephanie Bender, Ashley Dunn, Tina Eitel, Rosalina Flowers, Jolie Foreman, Kimberly Greenwell, Michelle Greenwell, Tammy Greenwell, Joyce Halterman, Missy Killen, Mary Kraichley, Cheryl Spilker, Ginger Thrasher and Katie Wiley. An inspirational moment titled Today by author unknown was read by Ginger Thrasher and gave each of us a reminder of the little things that we can do in our lives each day. The previous meetings minutes were read and approved.
Members then heard a National Convention recap from Missy Killen. She had a great time and came back with a wealth of knowledge to share. Also had a Miss Old Settlers update, it went well! Three young ladies vied for the title of Miss Old Settlers – congratulations to Christine Miles (Miss Old Settlers), Zoe Barrick (1st Runner Up & People’s Choice) and Leleah Sizemore (2nd Runner Up & Miss Congeniality).
Delta Cheryl Spilker received the 2020 DTT Sparkler Award. This award is a recognition of one who indeed turns up the brightness and enthusiasm with positivity and blessings for those among DTT Sisterhood! Cheryl goes above and beyond with her contributions when she commits to a cause of the chapter. She has been a dedicated helper to chapter blood drives and the Daddy/Daughter Dance and shows caring and concern for her fellow sisters. Congratulations Cheryl Spilker!
Members would also like to offer their sincere condolences to the families of Linda Coe and Edith Finke. They will both be missed by the chapter.
Respectfully submitted,
Ashley Dunn
