Thrasher Leads Way Against Brashear

Junior Natalie Thrasher went seven innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, struck out seven and walked zero at Brashear on Thursday, September 2. NS won 5-0.
North Shelby’s Caroline Linberger was walked by Brashear’s Alexa Borgmeier to start the game.
Thrasher hit the ball to right field and an error made by Brashear allowed Linberger to advance home. NS led 1-0 early in the first inning.
The next four innings were quiet. With two Lady Raiders on base, junior Ava Williams drove one behind second bringing two across the plate. North Shelby had a 3-0 advantage.
Junior Meg Shively got things going in the top of the seventh after putting the ball in play in center field. North Shelby’s Chesnie Robbins hit a pop-up behind third, but it was dropped.
Robbins went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead NS in hits. Williams and Linberger each had two RBI’s.
With two players on base, Linberger brought them in after a hit behind second base.
