Lady Raiders Win Tournament for Second Consecutive Year

For the second consecutive year, the Lady Raiders won their own tournament Saturday, September 18.
Earlier in the day, NS took down Bevier, 13-1 and later collected the win against Mark Twain 10-0.
In the championship game, North Shelby (9-3) didn’t hold back as they got a 12-0 victory over Van-Far.
North Shelby only allowed one run in all three games they played in the tournament.
Natalie Thrasher and Whitney Snow combined for seven scoreless innings.
North Shelby vs. Van-Far
The Lady Raiders beat Van-Far, 12-0 to claim the 2021 North Shelby Tournament championship.
Thrasher pitched four innings where she struck out seven.
Snow was on the mound for three. She struck out four.
NS vs. Bevier
In a five inning matchup, Thrasher only allowed five hits, struck out nine and walked one.
The Lady Raiders had 10 hits in the game. Caroline Linberger, Jaylea Barrick and Chesnie Robbins each contributed hits in the third inning with RBIs.
Lady Raiders vs. Mark Twain
In another five inning contest, Snow took charge on the mound for NS. Snow allowed one hit and struck out eight.
North Shelby had 12 hits against the Lady Tigers. Thrasher led with three hits. Meg Shivley and Ceairra Kirby each tallied two.
The Lady Raiders had eight RBIs in the game.
North Shelby vs. Clopton
The Lady Raiders traveled to Clopton on Monday, September 13. Despite a great effort by NS they lost 3-2.
The Lady Raiders took the lead in the second inning 2-1, but Clopton’s two runs in the third inning earned them the win.
Snow was in the circle for NS. Pitching six innings, she allowed two hits and struck out 14.
Kirby and Snow each had one hit for North Shelby.
NS vs. Linn County
Thrasher threw a complete shutout against Linn County on Thursday, September 16 to lead NS to a 13-0 win.
Thrasher allowed six hits over seven innings, struck out eight and walked zero.
Robbins went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead NS in hits.
The Lady Raiders had seven stolen bases as three players stole more than one. Robbins led with three.
Kirby and Emme Jones each stole two bases.
