City Approves Bid for Ramp at Lake

The Shelbyville Board of Aldermen met in regular session on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the city office at 6 p.m. Present were Mayor Mike Vanskike, Aldermen Brad Wiley, Jerry Myers, Gene Boyles and Rob Southers. City Clerk Gina Mesmer, City Superintendent Randy Shores and city employee Nathan Minear.
Mayor Vanskike opened the meeting at 6 p.m.
Alderman Myers made a motion to approve the January 6 and February 6 minutes. Alderman Boyles seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Alderman Southers made a motion to approve the bills and Alderman Boyles seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Alderman Southers approved to have Chas Shockley mow again for the 2023 summer season. Alderman Myers seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The board discussed the Economic Development letter and decided not to contribute this year.
The ramp at the lake that was quoted last year has gone up in price. We received two quotes from Brian Friesz and Kerry Maupin for $6,000 each. This is for concrete to push in the lake for boat access. Alderman Willey made a motion to have Brian Friesz do the job with the increased price. Alderman Myers seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The next meeting will be Monday, April 30 at 6 p.m.
Alderman Southers made a motion to adjourn at 6:20 p.m. and Alderman Boyles second the motion.
