Green City, Knox County, and South Shelby were among area high school baseball teams with players selected to the 2023 Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association All State Baseball Teams.
Green City saw sophomore Jaden O’Haver named to the Class 1 Honorable Mention All-State Team as a pitcher. Senior catcher Grant O’Haver made the Class 1 All State second team.
Green City senior Aaron Peavler made the first team All-State squad as an infielder. Gopher sophomore Ty Hall earned second team all-state honors as an infielder.
Class 2 All State selections included Knox County Senior Rylan Roberts tabbed to the Honorable Mention squad as a pitcher. Lewis and Clark Conference co-player of the year Robert Dooley made the first team all-state unit as a catcher.
Knox County Senior Braxton McCurren was named to the Class 2 All State honorable mention team as an infielder. Scotland County senior Ian Wilson was a First Team All-State catcher.
Class 3 All State picks included South Shelby senior P.J. Schmidt, who earned Honorable Mention All-State status as a pitcher. South Shelby senior Lucas Magruder was named to the Class 3 First Team All-State infield.
Centralia senior Jack Romine was named to the Honorable Mention Outfield. Harrisburg senior Anthony Alicea was a first Team Class 2 outfielder. Salisbury Junior Eli Jackson was another Lewis and Clark Conference first team all-state outfielder.
Salisbury Senior pitcher Ethan Hamilton was a Class 2 Second teamer. LCC Co Player of the Year Eli Weckenborg made the Class 2 First team all-state pitching staff.
