The North Shelby Lady Raiders came up short on Thursday night, January 25, 2024, against the Schuyler County Lady Rams, 48-36.
In the first quarter, Hadlee Parsons went 2-for-2 from the free-throw line and added two more points. Marissa McEwen made two from a jump shot. North Shelby trailed 7-6 after one quarter.
McEwen, Parsons, and Harper Copenhaver all scored in the second quarter to end the half with the Lady Raiders trailing, 26-12.
Ally Rich hit a three after the half and Copenhaver made a couple of different jump shots to help her team make a comeback to make the third quarter score 32-25 with North Shelby only trailing by seven.
Rich connected for another three in the fourth with an assist from Parsons. Copenhaver scored four more points, and Parsons scored off of a steal, but it wasn’t enough as North Shelby lost, 48-36.
Copenhaver led the team with 12 points, while Parsons finished with 10 points.
Parsons led the Lady Raiders with seven rebounds. Addy Uhlmeyer led the team in steals with three.
