Darline Mae Crabtree

Darline Mae Crabtree, age 76, of Hermann, Mo., previously of Shelbina, Mo., passed away on February 7, 2024, at Hermann Area District Hospital in Hermann, Mo.

Darline was born February 12, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Clifford V. and B. Lorine (Thompson) Dane.  She was united in marriage to Clinton Eugene Crabtree on March 28, 1964 at St. Louis, Mo.  He preceded her in death on February 8, 2016.

Darline is survived by four children, Larry Crabtree and wife Georgana of O’Fallon, Mo., Ronald Crabtree of Berger, Mo., James Crabtree and wife Kristin of Wentzville, Mo., and Dana Spreckelmeyer and husband Edward of Berger, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Tippit (Steve), Marissa Smith (Mitchell), Cash Crabtree, Lylah Crabtree, Esdon Spreckelmeyer, Ozzy Crabtree, Lehn Spreckelmeyer, and Greyson Spreckelmeyer; one great-granddaughter, Ella Tippitt; and one sister, Dorothy Nana (Don) of St. Peters, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton; and two brothers, Victor Dane and John Dane.

Darline was a Christian by faith and was baptized at the First Christian Church in St. Ann, Mo. She enjoyed going to lunch every day to visit with friends when she lived in Shelbina. Darline loved watching hummingbirds and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Shelby Memorial Cemetery in Shelbyville, Mo., with Billy Brison officiating.  Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors and Hermann Area District Hospital.
