Gannon Bowen led an 8-3 North Shelby run near the end of the first quarter, helping lift the Raiders to a 74-58 win during February 17, 2025 Lewis and Clark Conference play at Knox County.
Terry Ogden sank two KCHS free throws at the 2:47 mark of period one for a 13-10 North Shelby edge. The Raiders hit shots during their burst to a 24-15 at the end of the first quarter.
Jade Daniel put North Shelby up 28-17 with a pair of free throws at the 6:25 mark of the second quarter. North Shelby did a good job of attacking the lane and getting to the free throw line.
The Raiders sank 21-31 free throws on the night. Knox County was 9-14 from the line. The Raiders held a 37-31 halftime lead. Gannon Bowen scored 16 points in the first half, and a game high 26 on the night.
Knox County junior Cooper Clair left the game with an apparent leg injury at the four minute mark of period three. Isaac Shahan pulled the Eagles within a 48-41 deficit with a three point play at the 2:19 mark of period three.
Graton Carper canned a KCHS three ball with 1:40 remaining in the period. North Shelby led 54-44. The Raiders exploded on a decisive 18-3 run. Bo Bacon finished a fast break for a 66-44 Raider lead with 6:46 to play in the game.
North Shelby held a 61-44 advantage after three quarters. Isaac Shahan and Grayson Miler broke the run around the 5:44 mark of the fourth quarter. John Clark scored for Knox County making the score 72-53 in favor of the Raiders.
Knox County sank 18 field goals to 16 for North Shelby. The Raiders held a 7-3 advantage in converted three balls.
Gannon Bowen fired in 26 North Shelby points. Drake Prange scored 12 NS points. Jay Miles scored eight points. TJ Belt and Oren Vanskike put in six points each. Cole Browning tallied five Raider points.
Isaac Shahan led Knox County with 16 points. Caarsen Hayes score 15 Eagle points. Grayson Miller and Terry Ogden put in seven KC points each. Cooper Clair added four points.
