Shelbina Chapter #159 OES held a stated meeting Wednesday, April 9, 2025, with 12 members and guests present. Chapter opened in regular form with Joyce Viloria, WM presiding. Other officers present were Mark Sizemore, WP; Ruth Ann Dixson, AM Pro Tem; Charles Rosenkrans, AP; Lois Turner, Secy; Linda Sorrell, Cond; Wanda Luntsford, A. Cond Pro Tem; Leslie Rosenkrans, Chaplain; Linda Cullifer, Organist; Beverly Hipkins, Warder and Jim Sorrell, Sentinel. The flag of the United States was borne to the East and all repeated the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the National Anthem.
Guests introduced were Wanda Luntsford, PM, Cairo #180 and Peggy Parks, Kirksville #184. Minutes of the meeting of March 26 were read and approved. Thank you notes were read from the WGM and WGP for the honorary memberships. Six members attended the School of Instruction and the Official Reception.
Members were reminded that May 14 will be the DDGM Official Visit to our chapter. It was decided to have a meal before the meeting of meat and cheese tray, salads and desserts at 6:30.
June 25 will be Friendship Night and we will have a carry in at 6:30.
The Secretary reported sending 15 past due notices. Dues for 2025 are $34.60 and are past due on April 1.
Discussion was held concerning the 125th Anniversary of the chapter in July. It was decided to celebrate this event at the June 25 Friendship Night.
Linda Cullifer and Ruth Ann Dixson attended Friendship Night at Lighthouse #194. Beverly Hipkins observed an anniversary.
Chapter closed in regular form with members retiring to the dining room for refreshments of rotel dip and chips furnished by Leslie Rosenkrans. Mark Sizemore volunteered to furnish donuts for the April 23 meeting.
