The Shelbina City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at city hall.
A motion was seconded and approved to approve the agenda.
The council expressed appreciation to the Farmer’s Day committee for hosting such a great event.
A motion was seconded and approved to approve the items in the consent agenda.
Unfinished Business
The council reviewed the bylaws for the golf course advisory board and had a short discussion. Councilman Nick Broughton would like to encourage a board member to attend one council meeting a month, this will be discussed at a later date. A motion was seconded and approved to approve Jeff Gander, Wes Mefford, Rob Christine, Amy Presson, Kevin Glover, and Preston Wood as members of the golf course advisory board.
New Business
A motion was seconded and approved for the list presented to the council of surplus equipment.
A motion was seconded and approved to advertise for a Clubhouse Operator for the 2026 Golf Season.
City Superintendent Brian Fifer informed the council starting Monday, September 29th , the clubhouse would close at 6 p.m.
Mayor Al Dimmitt notified the council that Tri-State Economic Development would be hosting a class on October 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Clarence. He encouraged all members to attend as it should be a very informative meeting.
Dimmitt asked the council about sponsoring a table at the Mark Twain Regional Council of Government supper that would be held in November. He would bring more details later regarding this.
Other Business
Citizen Wendy Kocik asked to revisit the Ordinance pertaining to noise and curfew from the previous meeting.

There was a short discussion on the budget report.
