  The South Shelby Lady Birds Golf team finished second at the MSHSAA Class 1 District 3 Girls Championship on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Green Hills Golf Course in Chillicothe.

  The top two teams qualify for the state tournament. South Shelby finished with a team score of 391, behind Highland with a score of 352.

  Hannah Gaines led the team with a score of 92, followed by Katelyn Wilt with a 95, Charlie Roush with a 97, Zairi Vanskike-Hardy with a 107, and Kenzie Wilt with a 127.

  The state tournament will be held at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton on Monday and Tuesday, October 20 and 21.
