Lady Raiders Fall Short to Canton in Championship Matchup

North Shelby (No.1 seed) took on Clark County in the first round of the Tri-Rivers Classic held at Schuyler County on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. NS won 42-25.Originally the first round was supposed to be played Monday, but due to winter weather it got postponed.
The Lady Raiders were led by Mallory Griffin with 15 points.
NS (2-0) outscored Clark, 12-6 in the first quarter. Hadlee Parsons had four points. Harper Copenhaver went 3-for-4 from the free throw line. Ally Rich hit a three pointer and Griffin went 2-for-4 from the charity stripe.
The Lady Raiders were outscored in the second period, 7-5. At the half, NS led 17-13.
Griffin dominated in the third quarter claiming eight of the 17 points North Shelby scored. Sadie Gander had five, while Clara Uhlmeyer and Copenhaver each scored a bucket. NS held a 34-17 advantage at the end of the period.
Both teams scored eight points in the fourth quarter.
Lady Raiders vs. Knox County
North Shelby (3-0) defeated the Lady Eagles, 44-36 in the semi-final game Thursday, December 4.
Hadlee Parsons led the Lady Raiders with 16 points. Mallory Griffin had 15.
Both teams scored 11 points in the first quarter. Griffin had 8 of the 11 points. Ally Rich hit a three.
Each team also each scored eight points in the second quarter. Parsons had five while Harper Copenhaver went 2-for-2 from the line and Griffin put in a point.
Knox County led 32-30 at the end of the third quarter, but the Lady Raiders outscored them 14-4 in the final period.
Parsons had six points while Copenhaver had four. Griffin and Rich each hit a bucket.
North Shelby vs. Canton
The Lady Raiders (3-2) lost to Canton in the championship game Saturday, December 6, 45-42.
Hadlee Parsons led NS with 14 points. Clara Uhlmeyer collected 12.
Parsons scored the only two points in the first quarter.
Parsons then scored nine of the 19 points the Lady Raiders had in the second period. Harper Copenhaver had five while Ally Rich hit a three-pointer. Mallory Griffin went 2-for-2 from the free throw line. At halftime, Canton had a 29-21advantage.
Uhlmeyer made eight of the 15 points the Lady Raiders had in the third quarter. Rich had three while Griffin and Parsons each had a bucket. At the end of the period, the Lady Tigers led 38-36.
Canton outscored NS 7-6 in the fourth quarter.
Uhlmeyer put in four points while Griffin and Parsons each went 1-for 2- from the line.
The Lady Raiders hosted Cairo on Tuesday, December 9.
