Shelbina Man Arrested for Two Felonies

A Shelbina man faces two felonies for property damage in the first degree. Austin N. Bickerman, 35, of Shelbina was arrested Thursday, January 15, 2026.
According to information released by Shelbina Police Chief Jeff Brown, the SPD received two reports of property damage. A report was taken from a resident 600 block of East Walnut Street on January 10, and another report was taken from a resident in the 400 block of Cleveland Street on January 14.
In both reports it was found that vehicles had sustained significant damage. The officer(s) of the SPD investigated the incidents of property damage, and a person of interest was identified.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 14, 2026, an officer was on patrol in the area of North Shelby Street and West Maple Street and observed an individual acting suspicious in and around housing in the neighborhood. The officer contacted the individual, which was determined to be the person of interest in the property damage investigation. The individual was taken to the Shelbina Police Department for further investigation. The individual was later taken to the Shelby County Jail and incarcerated on a 24-hour hold.
On Thursday, January 15, 2026, information was submitted to the Shelby County Prosecutor, Jordan Force for her review.
The Shelby County Prosecutor filed formal charges with the Shelby County Circuit Court. Shelby County Associate Circuit Judge Mike Greenwell issued an arrest warrant for Austin N. Bickerman of Shelbina, Missouri for two counts of Class E Felony of Property Damage – 1st degree.
Bickerman remains incarcerated in the Shelby County Jail in lieu of a $20,000.00 cash bond.
At this time the investigation continues by the officer(s) of the Shelbina Police Department.
All suspects are innocent unless proven guilty in court.
