The Lady Raiders (15-9) defeated Knox County on senior night Friday, February 13, 2026, 44-39.
North Shelby’s Ally Rich got things going after splashing in a 3 pointer just 30 seconds into the game. Knox County’s Adison Strong put in a bucket but the Lady Raiders held a 3-2 lead.
Harper Copenhaver went 1-for-2 from the free throw line giving NS a two-point lead. The game was tied after Myleigh Miller scored a bucket. North Shelby’s Hadlee Parsons hit a bucket with 1:39 on the clock and the Lady Raiders took a 6-4 advantage until Knox County’s Kalli Parrish scored. KC led 7-6 at the end of the quarter.
North Shelby added 11 points in the second period. Griffin went to 1-for-2 from the line. Parsons then went 2-for-2 from the line and NS took a 9-7 lead with 6:45 on the clock. The game was tied after Parrish went 1-for-2 from the charity stripe with 5:19 on the clock. The Lady Raiders took a five-point advantage after Rich hit another three and Griffin put in a bucket during an inbound play. The Lady Eagles were the last to score in the quarter, but NS held a 17-14 lead at halftime.
Both teams scored single digits in the third period. Knox County tied the game with 3:03 on the clock after Miller splashed in a 3 pointer. Parsons went 2-for-2 from the line with 2:46 on the clock and NS led 24-22 after three.
The fourth quarter started off back and forth until Griffin put in four points within 28 seconds giving the Lady Raiders a 31-28 advantage with 5:38 left in the game. Copenhaver put in a bucket shortly after and then North Shelby took a 10-point lead after Griffin’s three-point play with 4:12 on the clock. The Lady Raiders led 38-28.
During the last minute of the game the Lady Eagles scored nine points and brought the score to 41-39, but Griffin went 2-for-2 from the line with 15 seconds on the clock and Finley Parsons went 1-for-2 which sealed the deal.
Mallory Griffin led NS with 16 points.
North Shelby played at Scotland County on Tuesday, February 17 and will host Community on Thursday, February 19.
