North Shelby (12-12) took down Knox County on senior night Friday, February 13, 2026, 74-50.
North Shelby’s Jay Miles scored a bucket within 20 seconds into the game. He was followed by TJ Belt scoring and NS took a 4-0 advantage with 6:15 on the clock.
Knox County’s Carrsen Hayes hit a 3-pointer putting the score, 4-3. Belt then answered with a three just 16 seconds later. Hayes hit another three 15 seconds after Belt bringing the score to 6-5 in the favor of the Raiders. NS took a 9-5 lead after Gannon Bowen splashed in a three with 4:39 on the clock.
The Raiders took a 13-8 lead after Bowen scored four points within 35 seconds. Belt hit back-to-back 3-pointers and NS took a 19-10 advantage with 1:48 left in the quarter. Knox County’s Cooper Clair scored the next five points, but NS led 21-15 at the end of the first quarter.
North Shelby’s Bo Bacon stole the ball within 10 seconds apart and scored five points. With 7:45 on the clock Bacon scored a bucket and was sent to the line where he was successful. Bowen then scored a bucket and NS led 28-15 with 7:14 on the clock.
Knox County’s Isaac Shahan scored the next seven points, but the Eagles trailed 31-24, with 2:42 left in the first half.
Bowen hit a 3-pointer and then a bucket. Drayk Plunkett’s three-point play gave NS a 39-24 advantage with 41 seconds left on the clock. The Eagles scored the next three points, but North Shelby held a 39-27 at halftime.
North Shelby’s Drake Prange started thing off with a bucket, but 15 seconds later, Knox County’s Dakoda Viley put in a bucket. The Raiders held a 41-29 advantage. NS continued to dominate in the quarter as they added seven points to the board in four minutes giving them a 48-37 lead at the end of the third.
The Raiders outscored the Eagles 26-13 in the fourth quarter. Domenic Williams and Prange each collected two points then Bowen scored the next five. NS led 62-38 with 5:36 on the clock. Shahan went 1-for-2 from the line and Nathan Penn hit a bucket for Knox County with 4:47 left in the game. The Eagles scored nine points to finish the game. The Raiders collected 13 in less than five minutes. North Shelby’s Gage Daniel hit 3-pointer with 42.3 seconds left in the game.
Bowen led NS with 31 points. Belt collected 13.
North Shelby played at Scotland County on Tuesday, February 17 and will host Community on Thursday, February 19.
