Raiders Take Down Knox County

North Shelby (7-2) traveled to Knox County on Monday, April 20, 2026, and came home with a 17-1 victory.
The Raiders got on the board in the first inning after Grady Gander hit a fly ball and reached on an error and Bo Bacon came home.
Jagger Gaines hit a fly ball in the second inning and reached on an error and Ty Bacon crossed the plate. NS led 2-0. Isaac Berry grounded out into fielder’s choice and Kale Pollard scored. The Raiders scored two more runs to finish out the top of the second and led 6-0.
Pollard singled on a line drive to right field and TJ Belt scored on an error by right fielder.
Belt singled in the top of the fourth inning and Cole Browning crossed home plate. NS led 8-0.
Lane Pollard was walked and Belt scored then Ty Bacon scored on the next play. The Raiders held a 10-0 advantage.
The Eagles scored their only run in the game in the fifth inning.
North Shelby scored seven runs in the fifth inning to finish out the game.
The Raiders had seven hits in the game. Bacon led with three hits and two RBIs. Kale Pollard had two hits while Berry and Belt each had one hit.
Seven Raiders were walked and only three struck out.
Browning pitched six innings, struck out four batters and walked three.
