The March 29th Performance Tested Bull Sale at Palmyra, MO, proved to be a strong success, with quality genetics driving demand and competitive bidding leading to solid sale averages across multiple breeds.
A total of 33 bulls were sold, averaging $6,221 per head. Angus bulls led the sale in numbers, with 28 head averaging $6,086. Hereford bulls saw strong interest, with two head bringing an average of $6,400, while SimAngus bulls topped the sale averages, with three head selling for an impressive $7,367 average.
“We are extremely pleased with the results of this year’s sale,” said Brenda Schreck, University of Missouri Extension Livestock Field Specialist. “The strong averages reflect the confidence buyers have in the genetics the consignors are offering.”
The event drew buyers from across the region, reinforcing the ongoing demand for high-quality seedstock. Organizers expressed gratitude to consignors, buyers, and all those who contributed to the sale’s success.
